Hygienic Conductivity Sensors

Anderson-Negele Authorised Distributor — Singapore

Precise, real-time conductivity measurement for process control and CIP monitoring in food, beverage, dairy, brewing and pharmaceutical applications. Anderson-Negele’s ILM-4 series inductive conductivity sensors automate phase transitions with high accuracy, eliminating product losses from incorrect or delayed media changeover — and paying for themselves within a very short time.

Anderson-Negele Hygienic Conductivity Sensors — Authorised Distributor in Singapore

iSensors International is the authorised distributor of Anderson-Negele hygienic conductivity sensors in Singapore and South-East Asia. We supply the Anderson-Negele ILM-4 inductive conductivity sensor range — including the standard direct-mount ILM-4 and the ILM-4R remote version — to food, dairy, beverage, brewery and pharmaceutical customers across Singapore.

Unlike contacting conductivity sensors, the ILM-4’s inductive (toroidal) measurement principle eliminates electrode deterioration and polarization, delivering long-term stability and repeatability of ≤ 1% even in aggressive CIP media. Its integral PT1000 temperature sensor removes the need for a separate temperature transmitter, while the Flex-Hybrid IO-Link + 4–20 mA output supports both legacy analogue systems and modern IO-Link masters. The ILM-4R remote version separates the electronics head from the sensor with up to 30 m cable, ideal for confined or high-temperature installation points.

Why Inductive Conductivity Measurement?
Feature Inductive (ILM-4) Traditional Contacting
Electrode Wear None — no electrodes in contact with media Electrode deterioration and polarization over time
Aggressive Media Fully compatible — CIP acids, caustics, sanitizers Accelerated electrode damage in aggressive media
Coating / Fouling Inductive toroid self-compensates for minor deposits Coating on electrodes causes measurement errors
Response Time 1.2 seconds for phase transition detection Typically slower; depends on electrode geometry
Temperature Output Integral PT1000 — no second sensor needed Usually requires separate temperature transmitter

ILM-4 Inductive Conductivity Sensor

The ILM-4 is the industry standard for hygienic in-line conductivity measurement, automating phase transitions in dairy, beverage and food processes with a very high degree of accuracy. Its all-in-one sensor-transmitter design integrates conductivity measurement, temperature sensing (PT1000) and signal processing in a single compact unit, making commissioning fast and simple.

Inductive (toroidal) measurement eliminates electrode deterioration and polarization, ensuring long-term stability in aggressive CIP media. Two independently configurable 4–20 mA outputs can be assigned freely to conductivity, temperature or concentration. A freely configurable concentration table allows direct output in % concentration for CIP chemicals, sugar solutions, saline and more.

ILM-4R Inductive Conductivity Sensor Remote
Inductive — Remote Version

ILM-4R Inductive Conductivity Sensor Remote

The ILM-4R is the remote version of the ILM-4, separating the sensor toroid from the electronics head via a cable of up to 30 m. Designed for installations where the process connection is in a confined, high-temperature or difficult-to-access location, while the display and wiring connections can be positioned for easy operator access and maintenance.

All ILM-4 capabilities are retained in the remote configuration — inductive measurement, integral PT1000, dual configurable 4–20 mA outputs, IO-Link, concentration table, digital range-switching input and optional Simple User Interface (SUI) or Large User Interface (LUI) displays. The remote cable (PVC, 8-pin, twisted pair) is available in 1-metre increments up to 30 m.
